Where to Eat in Galway | Biteclub

There are so many places to eat in Galway and eventually I will try them all. Biteclub is a quirky little joint situated conveniently on Lower Abbeygate Street, right in the heart of the city. The restaurant itself is one of the coolest places around. The inside reminds me of an awesome old diner with neon lights and retro style seating. If you’re looking for somewhere different to hang out, have some tasty treats and sip on a quirky cocktail, then Biteclub is your new favourite place!

What Biteclub has to say ‘Our food is a world-inspired take on street food with influences ranging from Mexican, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and beyond. Using, only the best in locally sourced and free-range produce to create flavorsome, colourful and affordable bites (where possible).’13731840_10207263444804636_6751259196921464787_o

I’ve eaten here three times now, both times I was attracted by their 2 for 1 offer that pops up every now and again, perfect for students and anyone who wants to go for a nice meal and not spend a fortune! The food is fresh and super tasty. Their menu boasts burgers, chicken, and salads but not like you’d expect.

Korean twice fried chicken has a spicy kick and is orders! It’s crispy, spicy but not too spicy and is just plain yummy!

Beef burgers with pickled sliced onions and beetroot hummus. It’s full of flavour and a great twist on a classic cheeseburger!

The chicken wings are a super sticky, tasty treat! And let’s not forget the sides. Their sides are some of my favourites around. Homemade coleslaw, home cut chips with aioli and fresh & homemade potato salad to name a few.

Let’s not forget their cocktail menu. They have so many different cocktails, craft beers and Prosecco on tap but Biteclub are known around Galway for their Watermelon slushies, which are basically so good they keep running out. And after finally getting my hands on one last week, I can see why. I’m quite picky when it comes to my drinks. I love a cold pint of cider or a classic whiskey sour but this is possibly my new favourite cocktail. It literally tastes like those watermelon sweets you get from pick’n’mix. Delicious!

So that’s all for this foodie adventure. Let me know if you’ve been to Biteclub, what you thought or where you think I should go to next!
