Shades: She Sparkles, Let’s Boogie, I Like 2 Watch*
‘Le Disko, where glitter and glamour intoxicate and colour gets physical. It’s all see and be scene as the crowd converges under a sparkling aura of lights and erupts into a dazzling sea of eyes and lips. Feel the fever with Dazzle Eye Shadows in riotous hues, while Dazzleglass drops it like it’s hot for colour-popped lips that’ll make the boys go crazy. It’s a full on colour disco, and you’re the reigning queen.’
The new MAC collection ‘Le Disko’ is out now in Brown Thomas & I was lucky enough to be given a couple products in advance. Above are 3 of the Le Disko shadows, She Sparkles, Lets Boogie and I Like 2 Watch , which are unlike MAC’s regular eye shadows, more along the lines of the pressed pigment and a total glitter bomb (in the most awesome way possible of course!).
I’ve been trying these out for a while now and i’m in love. I’ve been using She Sparkles as an inner corner highlight, and let me tell you – it highlights. If you’ve been around for a while you’ll know i’m not a huge fan of subtle eye looks so when I want something to highlight my inner corner I mean it & this does the job! You can see from the swatches I’ve posted below how creamy and luminous it looks and it is just like that on the eyes.
Let’s Boogie is also my perfect smokey eye/going out colour. It’s a very pigmented black colour with so much sparkle in it! Honestly, just this on top of some eye primer (for extra intensity) is all you need for an awesome glam grunge smokey eye!
And lastly, we have I Like 2 Watch. This looks like another gold, foil-ish eyeshadow but it’s not. If you look at the swatches I did it’s like a yellow/gold with yellow, green and gold monochrome flecks. I’ve only worn this once but it is SO cool. It’s like nothing I own. I’m really excited to try this out with a matte black and make an awesome halo eye look.
These Dazzle shadows retail at €21 each in Brown Thomas Store and online.
Overall verdict? I’m really impressed with these shadows from the Le Disko collection!
